Hi,
i faced the same problem on a slightly different configuration (Xorg 7.3).
The port is installed in :
/usr/local/lib/thunderbird/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}/lightning-0.5-tb-FreeBSD6-i386/
instead of
/usr/local/lib/thunderbird/extensions/{e2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103}/
Just move the content of the former directory to the later one.

Regards
Nicolas
