Either set up cnames in dns;

smtp	in	cname		yourbsdserver.domain.com.
pop3	in	cname		yourbsdserver.domain.com.

Or the lazy mans option would be create entries in the hosts file on all the
windows boxes. In windows 95/98/ME in the /windows directory, in
NT4.0/2000/XP(?)  /winnt/system32/drivers/etc

Subject: postfix + qpopper working with outlook

I installed postfix + qpopper. My lan is populated with
only winboxs that use outlook to get and send mail.
I can send & get mail if in Outlook I use the IP address
of the FBSD gateway/firewall box where postfix + qpopper
are installed.

When I tell outlook to use smtp.Adomain.com & pop3.Adomain.com
I get error server not found.

In my /etc/hosts file I have entry's for each server.

10.100.100.2 gateway.Adomain.com  # Nic ip address
10.100.100.3 smtp.Adomain.com     # bogus IP
10.100.100.4 pop3.Adomain.com     # bogus IP

How do I get the full domain name to resolve from outlook?
