  Hvae you set your freebsd machine to act as a router???? If not then the
win 95 machine will be able to talk to the freebsd box and vica versa, but
nothing from the internet will be able to talk to the win95 machine nad vica
versa.

Check /etc/sysconfig

for the line

gateway=NO

change it to
gateway=YES
