hi, I'm trying to help someone install 2.2 onto some remote (from me) machines and he's hit this problem... after doing a minimal install on new hardware (4 separate P6s) the machines fail to boot from the harddisk and report the 'no operating system' error. Botting from the floppy and then issuing sd(0,a)/kernel brings the machines up but they won't boot for that disk. Anyone recognise the fix for this ? I used the 'search' system on www.freebsd.org but didn't home in on any similar questions/answers. thanks, rob -- Rob Hartill Internet Movie Database (Ltd) (powered by FreeBSD) http://us.imdb.com/tour - bring a packed lunch.. it's big!
