Hello,

about a week ago i noticed some problems with an 386-40,
that /etc/sysinstall has not been found due to an
'Inflate-error=2' reported while booting.

This problem has been caused by the IDE or FDD controller;
after replacing it everything works fine now!
(Well, i'm still wondering: you could work with it under DOS & Linux
 without any problems!)

Tanks for all comments,

Jan
