	Thanks a lot for doing this.  Just FYI, re@ approval is not needed
	for this kind of thing in HEAD.  Assuming that there are no other
	issues with this, do you feel it's ready for RELENG_5_0 yet?

I definitely want this change to get into RELENG_5_0. The delay
of the previous change was primarily to make sure that it did not
break anything (it did, 64-bit support), so the initial delay in
pushing it was clearly warrented. Once we are confident that no
other problems arise, both the previous and current change to
snapshots should be pushed to RELENG_5_0. Snapshots as they stand
in RELENG_5_0 are broken.
