Maybe. If you plan on running a system with hardware
dating back to "the '80s", you may want to consider
running some of the older versions of FreeBSD. They
can be found here: http://www.freebsdmirrors.org/,
under "i386 Releases available". 2.2.8-RELEASE may
be a good choice.
