Just wait till Reece (a friend of mine) rewrites it and GPL's it.

He has a client working that can pull files out of AFSspace, providing
that you know the filename and a couple of other things. He has pieces
of the server working (better, I might add, than the Transarc code).

He's amazing. Now if I can get him to do a BSD-style release as well.....
