Date: Thu, 29 Jan 2009 14:04:20 +0100 (CET) I forgot one small but possibly important point. The "delayed event syndrome" applies not only to input events. For example, when a window is brought to the front, it often does not get repainted until I move the mouse a bit. And then, if it was partially obscured before, I can see more and more bits getting filled in as I move the mouse. - Harald
