I just noticed that my system hangs with sysinstall displaying
'Probing devices, this can take a while' as long as I have
the following card installed:

Jul 4 18:51:10 freebie /kernel: puc0: <NetMos NM9845 Quad UART> port
0x8800-0x880f,0x9000-0x9007,0x9400-0x9407,0x9800-0x9807,0xa000-0xa007,0xa400-0xa407 irq 5 at device 9.0 on pci0

This happens on 4.7-R, 4.8-R and 5.1-R. Boot from CD or floppy, both no go.

Ripping the card out solves the problem, and a kernel with the puc driver
compiled in works just dandy (this card drives my Alpha farm's serial
consoles without problems)
