Subject: 2.2.8 boot still wants sysinstall - why?
Message-ID: <199903112200.OAA02164@chuck.aero.org>

next in thread | raw e-mail | index | archive | help

i have loaded 2.2.8 onto a laptop and a desktop, one with exclusive use of the
disk and the other shared with dos, and both of them boot up ok, and come to
the screen that asks about kernel configuration (the same one that comes up
when i booted the install diskette originally) - when i answer Q, i am sure i
don't wanna reconfigure, the rest of the boot process works just fine

i think i remember reading about how to make that prompt screen go away, but i
can't remember where and i can't seem to find it now - where should i look to
see why it continues to happen, and how to prevent it?

thanx in advance

more later,
cal
