Seems I missed a PR and start of discussion, but we have 10-days public 
holidays in Russia :-)

Ricardo, can you try updated version from 
http://chibis.persons.gfk.ru/audigy/v2/emu10kx-port.tar.bz2 ?

It's not a complete 'port', you will have to " make obj; make depend; 
make; make install" to build and install it.

I think I fixes most low-bitrate playback problems I had in emu10kx.
