The new ACPI drop that went in today partially fixes my problem. The PCI
bus with my SCSI and network controllers on it is now probed, so I can
boot.

The PCI bus with my gigabit ethernet board isn't probed, though, with ACPI
turned on. It is with ACPI turned off.

I've attached dmesg output with and without ACPI turned on.
