Hi,
I'm trying to use vim (5.3) as my default editor. When I invoke it,
it consumes a LOT of cpu power, and finally (after about 10 seconds)
  I get,

  Illegal instruction

Is it my startup script (.vimrc)? Has anyone else faced this problem
  before? Please lend a hand.

  Thanks.

  Sabrina
