Try to setenv ENABLE_STARTUP_LOCALE before running xterm (from shell,
not from sysconfig). Since I delete my xterm copy replacing it by
color_xterm due to this bug, can you upload your xterm binaries
somewhere to freefall, so I can tell you exact sequence to bring
the bug?

See also old message with subject:
Subject: bug: 2.0.5-R: ENABLE_STARTUP_LOCALE + xterm = SIGSEGV
in -hackers list which reports the same bug.

Very recently someone reports the same bug into -current list
with fr_FR locale, speaking about phkmalloc.
