I don't think so.

I filed a detailed PR on this whole problem, and someone responded to
that already saying that he's pretty sure that the problem is fixed (again)
in FreeBSD 4.2.

The AHA-1542CP card is perfectly OK... It's just that FreeBSD 4.1 was
expecting a little to much from it.

I hope and believe that is rectified in 4.2.
