Subject:   getting X to work on a Compaq Presario laptop

I've got a Compaq Presario 725CA, and I cannot seem to get the display 
configured properly for X-windows. Any suggestions? The specs are as 
follows:

14.1 TFT does 1024x768 @ 60hz (800x600 @ 60hz also)
S3 16 meg SDR Video Card (has TV-Out)

1300mhz AMD Athlon 4 mobile CPU
256megs RAM
20Gig Hardrive
8x/8x8x24 DVD/CD-RW
Built-in Realtek PCI 10/100 Ethernet
(the normal stuff.. keyboard, ps/2 pointer, usb, io ports, etc)
