Hello, freetds 0.53 has problems handling large objects (TEXT) fields in databases on a MS SQL 7.0 server. Downgrading to 0.51 solves the problem. (checked out the RELEASE_4_3 version of the port). It fails both in DBD-Sybase and SQSH with an "Out of memory" error.
