Um - what about my question?  Is the newfs necessary?  Repartitioning,
backup, and restore also require a backup medium, etc.

   I would offer you my own floppies with 29-Sep-2001-STABLE but I did them 
   very personalized (such as i686_cpu only, having no several 
   SCSI-drivers, no RAID at all etc.).
