Subject: Native Threads in 5.0?

I was wondering how the native thread implementation (analogous to
linuxthreads I guess) is coming along in 5.0-CURRENT? In particular, if
such threads exist, has the Linux compatibility code been updated to include
this support? I am anxious to work with a stable JDK 1.3. I believe that
Apache 2.0 would benefit from this as well.

Thanks in advance,
