With the installation CDs, I believe on disks 1, 3 & 4 are something like 2000 packages, which are the binary installations for the all the right stuff. The so-called "Toolkit" CDs that I got with my boxed set contain pretty much all the rest.

If the FreeBSD-CD-Creators are nice people (and I'm sure they are
well-intentioned people at the very least), there ought to be an
"ls-alR.tgz" file of the entire contents of the CDROM, similar to what one
finds on the usual ftp site.
