If 
    whereis string
    locate -i string
    find /usr/ports/ -iname '*string*'
    portinstall -n ':[sS][tT][rR][iI][nN][gG]'

won't find a port, it can usually be found with "grep" or an editor in
"/usr/port/INDEX".
