It wont work as is, but the maintainer has had access to this WIP long=20
before it went public, and to quote:

"Feel free to commit the new framework when you see fit, I'll follow up=20
with the necessary atapi-cam updates"

I'll more likely post the patches I use for cdrecord/cdrdao/dvd+rw-tools =

so they can use ATA directly..
