Hmm.  I recently built it without a hitch on 4.8
setup.log

Begin Installation -----------
Mode     : Network

OK  register component: liblth641fi.so : applicat.rdb

Errors = 0

Granted it took ~2 DAYS! to compile on an 750 xeon.
