Report 115217 is *not* a duplicate of 115216.  I submitted two
separate bug reports because the two problems (and solutions) are
independent.  Both problems are generally related to configuration
problems, but it would be quite possible (and likely) to fix one
without fixing the other -- at least as far as I was able to take
my analysis.
