thanks for your quick reply > Works in -current. Also, there's better resource stuff in current > that should help (but maybe not 100%) with your setup. well, from reading the current list, it looks in quite a state of flux atm so I don't know if I want to try it just yet. I might wait for DP2 instead. of course, 5 itself is only (supposedly) 2-3 months away from becomeing stable anyways I suppose. > : set hw.pcic.irq=0 > : set hw.pcic.intr_path=1 > These will prevent your second pccard from working, since it is a pure > pci device. ahh, I did wonder what those 2 lines did. I assumed it was something to do with changing the way irq routing for the pccard controller worked (althouth I'm not entirely sure what that means). without those 2 lines the machine acts very wierdly. the console stops updating, the network stack seems a bit funny. probably some other things too. I suppose I'll continue experimenting but can you think of anything off hand which might help, ie to at least get the pcmcia slot working for example. ocne thats working I can put a wireless card in it and the other things which don't work can wait. many thanks for your help dave To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
