 Downloading the `ports' tarball now...

 But - I used the CVS interface at www.freebsd.org to look
 at the netscape-communicated 4.76 port.  There were no scripts
 to run, and the makefile seems to simply install the
 product just as the Netscape-provided shell script would...

 But - I'll run the port when it's installed and report back.
