I have been having a simmilar error with my SCSI tape. The backups seem to work so I usually ignore the 
errors.

Don't know the exact meaning.. just a few thoughts.
Try a backup to a different tape and see if it works. Maybe the tape has a bad spot. The error seems to 
imply the program had problems reading a spot in the tape.
