Well, that's just dandy. I'll go look into that on adaptec's site.. if 
you have any leads please send me the urls. 

Ok, so if termination is the problem, why would it cause such a fuss? I 
know the basics about termination, but I thought it had to do with 
cross-talk (which still doesn't make sense why my yamaha wont work).

Well.. thanks guys.. perhaps I'll go buy a terminator..
