I doubt you've hosed the system.

do an ldconfig -r | grep glib | more

Are there any glib libraries there?  If so how are they named?

It appears to me that you have a glib12 installed, but not the latest
version - try pkg_delete'ing the glib12 port if it's installed and
starting over.
