    For those of you who have Motif and can't wait for a statically-
linked binary, check out http://www.csua.berkeley.edu/~gimp/ for an
*amazing* programming effort to port a Photoshop-like tool to UNIX.  I
grabbed the source and with some very minor fiddling (like adding in
some #includes), compiled it cleanly into a 264K binary.

    I'll make a statically-linked binary and contribute it back to the
maintainers.  For a beta (hell, even a finished app), the GIMP is very
impressive.  Forget xpaint, this thing'll blow you away.
