As I reported to Kazu - this patch stops my mouse going beserk BUT it
also stops it working at all. It just freezes up (I guess at a time when
it would have gone beserk) and doesn't move again after that.

If I recall correctly, the patch was meant as a test to see how the
behaviour would change, not as an actual fix...
