Vinum supports RAID-4.  It is a completely useless RAID level, and the
only reason for the support is because somebody asked for it and it
was a two-line change.  Don't use it.  RAID-5 does everything RAID-4
does, but better.

This also has no relevance to the issue.  You can't expand a Vinum
RAID-4 or RAID-5 volume.
