Don't know - it sounds like it probably uses the /proc filesystem and if
it doesn't have specific patches for FreeBSD and it was designed for Linux
then it will take some serious work to make it functional.

Look in /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/gtk11-devel - that's versionm 1.1.12.
