if you keep copies sent to the list, then you have much more chance of 
getting a fast (e.g. if I'm away for a week) and accurate (I make 
mistakes) answer.

Yes, that can be done.  I've done it.  So it can't be hard.  Look at my 
website under virtual servers.  You'll want to install Apache.  It does 
virtual websites very well. Depending on your situation, you may also want 
to run named.  This depends on whether or not you'll be the primary domain 
name server for foo.bar and foobar.com.
