Hello,

Thank you for your reply but I have tried that as well but Still I can't
get my windows 98 machine to connect to the internet or ping the outside
the network.  Any other ideas...

when I set the firewall to simple, I wasn't able to ping my windows 98
computer.  I kept getting permission denied.
