Sorry, that would be the same as "gateway_enable=yes" in the rc.conf.  
And yes, it would have to be done as root.;)


flitter:/home/keen%> sysctl -a | grep forward
net.inet.ip.forwarding: 0
net.inet.ip.fastforwarding: 0

(of course, this box has it disabled...:)
