Hello.

I am trying to follow the directions given to me when this error
happened, and I am sending you the logs.

Can you please help me get this figured out?

I am using FreeBSD 5.0. uname output attached...

I did a clean install from a CD, went thru cvsup for ports only, and
portsdb -Uu.

Then I installed opera, xmms, gnometelnet, & grn with no problems.

Then I tried to install gimp.

It crashes when it gets to the libXft dependency.

Once this error happened, X would still start up, but the mouse
cursor never changes from an "X" anymore, and the window borders are
all missing from any window that opens... (cant stretch, minmize, close
etc...)

Here are the logs...

install-gimp is the screen output.
pkg.log is the contents of /var/db/pkg
config.log is
/usr/ports/x11-fonts/libXft/work/libXft-2.1.6/config.log

Thanks!

-Jason Zimberoff

output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to
provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls
