I think NAT (Network Address Translation) is what you are looking for. There
is a 
very good explanation in the handbook:

Note: if you access the Internet via a DSL-Modem and PPP, you do not need to
start 
natd, you just need to put this line into your /etc/ppp/ppp.conf 
 
 nat enable yes
