I haven't had problems in months;  maybe as much as a year.  At least
several OS upgrades.

I'd suggest filing a PR or contacting the driver's author directly.

Hmm.. I'm only using the drives as masters.  Ie, one drive per
connector on the Promise card.  This might have an effect.
