Folks, I have been asked to recommend a specification for a couple of machines to be used for FreeBSD for provision of "Internet services" of various types. These will be Pentium/PCI machine (I wish I could afford one!) I am not sure of what the current wisdom is WRT the available PCI support chip sets, i.e. which to avoid or, hopefully, which to select.
