Hello list :) First off, just wanted to thank the many who have helped me in making the right choice of purchasing FreeBSD :) At approx. 4:30, I had a copy of FreeBSD Powerpack in my hands waiting for the cashier to take care of some guy who was buying an HTML book... funny how you notice the little details in what a very good turn in your computer life may be :) Anyways, Im just e-mailing about a few questions before I axe away at the package and install the mother. 1) I understand FreeBSD 4.0 is compatible with Linux based programs, is this the same for Sun's StarOffice? And can I run Linux games (such as Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tourney) in BSD with Linux-3dfx drivers? If not, where can I obtain 3dfx drivers for my voodoo 2 card for BSD? 2) This weekend, I am deleting my Windows and Linux partition, and BSD is going on the whooole hard drive.. all 8.4gigs :) lol.
