Hi,

We bought 4 Haupauge NTSC cards (model 400) last year, all at the same
time, the same batch. Three of these cards are running in FreeBSD perfectly:

bktr0 <BrookTree 848> rev 18 int a irq 5 on pci0:10
Hauppauge WinCast/TV, Philips NTSC tuner.

bktr0 <BrookTree 848> rev 18 int a irq 15 on pci0:9
        mapreg[10] type=0 addr=e0410000 size=1000.
        reg16: virtual=0xf43df000 physical=0xe0410000 size=0x1000
brooktree0: PCI bus latency is 32.
bktr0: buffer size 3555328, addr 0x4f1000
bktr: GPIO is 0x00fffffb
Hauppauge WinCast/TV, Philips NTSC tuner.

But I installed the last one into my WWW server to capture some livecam
snaps, and that one is wrongly recognized:

bktr0 <BrookTree 848> rev 18 int a irq 11 on pci0:12
        mapreg[10] type=0 addr=fb000000 size=1000.
        reg16: virtual=0xf6935000 physical=0xfb000000 size=0x1000
brooktree0: PCI bus latency is 32.
bktr0: buffer size 3555328, addr 0x3000000
bktr: GPIO is 0x00fffffb
Hauppauge WinCast/TV, Temic PAL tuner.
                      ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                      ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I've searched the sources for the problem, but the tuner detection is
inside i2c, which I don't fully understand. It does not personally
bothers me, since I'm using the card only in composite video mode, but
I have a friend that says to have the same problem. And a bug is a
bug, and must be fixed. :)

Can somebody point me the directions to search for the source of the
problem ?

If that matters, the computer with problems has an ASUS P55T2P4 mother
board, with a P200 CPU. I have another P55T2P4 with a P200MMX and two
SOYO 8^( Triton VX mother boards with P133, all working perfectly.
My friend has a TYAN PPro Dual 200/512 board (can't remember the exact
model right now). Also interesting is that the problematic computer
has an ISA VGA card. I needed all PCI slots for network and SCSI cards,
but this should not be a problem unless I wanted Direct Video support.

  TIA,

					Jonny
