Are you using hostnames, or IP addresses, for your DNS server?  You
need to be using IP addresses.

I don't have an install machine here any more, so I'm doing this from
memory.  Bear with me if it's not exactly accurate.  ;)

Can you alt-f4 to get a prompt?  If so, see if you can ping your ISPs
nameserver.  Let us know the results.
