I wonder if the bug manifests itself in the production system for cases where
kernel has no KMS support, but Xorg or other userland utility wants to issue
DRM_RADEON_GEM_INFO that will trigger the patched bug.

Can original submitter say if he runs Xorg with KMS support or some another
tool that wants to query DRM infrastructure about graphics capabilities?
