I wouldn't call what you describe sharing an interrupt.  I would compare
it to sleeping with someone's girlfriend and hoping they don't happen to
try sleeping with her at the same time, cause who the hell knows what will
happen then (of course, this breaks down at this point, due to the fact
that some people don't mind sharing.  Your hardware is about as forgiving
as an old New England WASP).
