Subject: mutt takes long delivering mails

With a 4.0-R FreeBSD machine which has an uptime of 11 days (only)
when launching an email from within mutt it takes extremely
long (often more than one minute) until mutt comes back with
'Mail sent'.

Sending a mail using 'mail' doesn't expose this behaviour (but this
may be because the mail is spooled, don't know).
