I've searched with google and through the freebsd.org pages, and can't find a similar problem. mountd, on both boot and hup, gives me the message bad exports list line /home There is only a single non-comment line in /etc/exports: /home -alldirs 192.168.0.200 This is the address for the vmware linux machine, but that doesn't matter--I get the same message no matter what I put there: the name from /etc/hosts associated with that address (vmdebian), my own ip number, my own number on the localnet. Am I missing something here? All I want to accomplish is sharing /home with the guest OS. hawk -- Prof. Richard E.
