How much memory does the box have? More than 256 Mbytes? I had similar symptoms with a couple of boxes with 512M. This saved me: http://www.aspsys.com/docs/UNIXWorkaround.txt Basically, "boot -flag I" and when it asks for kernel options type "vmunix memlimit=256".
