I don't have any openssl port installed (no beta, no stable, nothing).
In my /etc/make.conf I have this entry: WITH_OPENSSL_BASE=yes

So I have the openssl inside the base-system. 

Are there any problems whith different locations (/usr/local/
vs. /usr/)?
